Student reports of bullying have declined for the third consecutive year, reaching a new low of 15.9%. The data show a 6.1 point decrease in the percentage of students reporting being bullied over the last three years. Another highlight is that we had equitable progress as this downward trend was reflected across all racial and ethnic student groups. This is a testament to our schools daily commitment to classroom management, social emotional learning, bullying prevention implementation, and relationship-building. Nativity Miller and student

The choice of Dr. Nativity Miller to become Boulder Valley School District’s next Deputy Superintendent brings both an opportunity for continuity and change.

Continuity in the sense that Dr. Miller has helped shape nearly every major academic and strategic effort in BVSD over the past eight years. Change in the sense that her new role expands her ability to influence the district’s future at a critical moment for public education.

Thank you to the many parents, staff and community members who participated in our six Connect with BVSD: Resilient Schools Community Engagement Sessions in April.

The most meaningful part was seeing participants coming together to discuss their values, priorities and other considerations for BVSD’s solutions to address declining enrollment.
