Principal's Message

Welcome to HALCYON SCHOOL!

Dear Students, Staff and Parents,

Welcome to the Halcyon School. We are the Day Program for the Boulder Valley School District. We proudly provide academic and affective educational programming for students from the elementary grades through age twenty one. We are a special education program designed to meet the social-emotional and mental health needs of students who are placed in our setting through a District and special education team process. Our students maintain a concurrent enrollment with their home schools and work with our staff towards a return to a less restrictive environment. Our ultimate goal is to provide our students with the tools necessary to be safe, healthy and successful in their schools, homes and community.

The motto of the Panther Nation - “That’s What We Do”. Our staff are committed to doing all that we can and then some to support our students. Our team uses a variety of unique and creative approaches and interventions to the daily opportunities our students face. We take great pride in working with our students and their families to achieve their collective goals.

Matt Dudek

Principal

Matt is the Principal of the Halcyon School and beginning his 18th year on the Halcyon Campus. In his role as the Director of Special Education - Special Programs he also serves as the administrator for the Transitions Program, oversees Homebound Programming, S.W.A.P. and also represents BVSD on the Boulder County C.R.T. and I.M.P.A.C.T teams.

Bridget Archuleta

Interventions Specialist

Bridget is a caring and compassionate professional who is always focused on advocacy for our students and ensuring that they are afforded every opportunity to, quite simply, “be a kid”. She will be celebrating her 20th year at the Halcyon School. Bridget is the first line of support for students in need and staff in crisis on our campus.

Tifanny Erjevec

Lead Teacher

Tiffany is a talented professional educator beginning her 16th year at the Halcyon School. In addition to supporting staff and our campus in her role as our Lead Teacher she also serves as our de facto Math Department, our IT contact and our School Assessment Coordinator
